Efficacy / Listings
In Germany and other EU member states, numerous laws, regulations and recommendations control the handling of disinfectants in order to increase safety and compatibility of application. Authorities and societies aim at a simplification of criteria, e.g. virucidal activity. Within in the framework of drug registrations, e.g. for skin and hand disinfectants, and manufacturer-independent listings, the product’s microbiological effect has to be proven. These lists only recommend products, which were tested by neutral institutes in compliance with the valid, validated methods.
