Sterillium® Virugard, uniquely virucidal as per §18 IfSG (Federal Law on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases in Humans)
When non-enveloped viruses emerge, particularly powerful virucidal hand disinfectants are necessary to interrupt the chain of infection. Sterillium® Virugard, developed by BODE, possesses a spectrum of effect no other alcohol-based hand disinfectant features.
For certain pathogens the Federal Law on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases in Humans (IfSG) prescribes the use of virucidal preparations listed by the Robert-Koch-Institute (RKI) in effect area B. Sterillium® Virugard is the only and first alcohol-based hand disinfectant with virucidal effect which was included in the RKI list. Being added to the RKI list in effect areas A (bacteria and fungi) and B (fungi) documents Sterillium® Virugard’s exceptional performance. The ethanol-based preparation is, in accordance with § 18 IfSG, available for use when notifiable diseases, officially ordered decontaminations and non-enveloped viruses, occur. Thus, it constitutes the only, even more powerful and skin tolerable alternative to chlorine compounds.
Further product advantages:
- short exposure times
- dries quickly and without residues
- colorant- and fragrance-free
Because of its exceptionally broad spectrum of effect, Sterillium® Virugard is primarily suitable for all working areas with increased infection risk. The RKI recommends using Sterillium® Virugard for noroviruses, keratoconjunctivitis epidemics, SARS and others.
