New rub-in method
For the first time, a recent study investigated different rub-in methods for hygienic hand disinfection and their duration in conjunction with gaps in coverage. Result: The known six steps which are based on the reference procedure according to EN 1500 should be replaced by a new rub-in technique – the responsible application.
In terms of gaps in coverage, the “responsible application” yielded the best results. There are no predefined steps for this new, simplified technique; hands are to be rubbed in carefully paying attention to all skin areas. The objective is to wet the hands as completely as possible in particular consideration of fingertips and thumbs. In addition, it is advisable to provide regular training with tests under UV light to identify individual weak points.
BODE updated all brochures with regard to the “responsible application”.
