Korsolex® PAA / PAA-Aktivator for the manual reprocessing of instruments

Korsolex® PAA / PAA-Aktivator is a new disinfectant, which is destined for the manual reprocessing of instruments and features sporicidal and virucidal activity within short exposure times. Being based on peracetic acid, this product is suitable for the manual disinfection of flexible endoscopes and other heat-sensitive and heat-resistant instruments. Korsolex® PAA is extremely economical: up to 50 endoscopes can be reprocessed with one activated solution.

Korsolex® PAA and PAA-Aktivator are two components of a disinfectant for the manual reprocessing of endoscopes and other heat-sensitive and heat-resistant instruments. Immediately before the first use, Korsolex® PAA solution and PAA-Aktivator are combined. The stable peracetic acid/hydrogen peroxide system of the resulting ready-to-use disinfection solution reliably kills bacterial spores such as Clostridium difficile within 20 minutes. Additionally, Korsolex® PAA / PAA-Aktivator is virucidal already after 15 minutes, and possesses bactericidal, yeasticidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal and mycobactericidal activity within 5 minutes.

In combination with the short exposure times this comprehensive antimicrobial spectrum of activity provides users with a great advantage: valuable instruments can be used again after a short time. Especially health care settings with a small device pool benefit from this.

Korsolex® PAA is particularly suitable for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and anesthesia materials, medical devices made of thermoplastics and elastomers, and surgical instruments without hard metal inlays.
